This Canadian Tech Stock Built Around Minimizing Gun Deaths Is Very Popular In Scandinavia

The Canadian tech company Patriot One Technologies (PAT.V) who aims to help lessen the amount of weapons deaths is becoming more and more popular across Scandinavian countries.

On the surface it seems somewhat random, on our site we have noticed a slight relationship between Canadian stocks and Scandinavian countries when we take a look at the analytics.

It’s clear that countries like Sweden and Germany have investors that are watching the Canadian markets more-so than other countries around the world, but the correlation between Patriot One and these countries has never been this strong

One theory behind this has been the drastic rise in crime in the country over the past few years. According to Numbeo’s analysis, crime in the city of Malmo, Sweden has increased to alarming levels. In Stockholm. Sweden’s largest city it’s even worse.

If we compare the rising crime index of Stockholm and Malmo with cities from surrounding countries the trend seems to be a vast regional problem across Scandinavia, which up until a few years ago was considered to be one of the safest places in the world.

(Score based on ‘Crime increasing in the past 3 years’, the scale is from 0-100the higher the number the higher crime rate)

Stockholm, Sweden: 71.52

Malmo, Sweden: 67.47

Oslo, Norway: 66.01

Bergen, Norway: 65.45

Helsinki, Finland: 53.85

Patriot’s Stock

Patriot’s   ( ) stock has performed exceptionally well over the last 12 months even though the company is pre-revenue. Because this technology has never been seen before in the security space, investors have been beyond excited on how it could impact the sector.

According to Patriot One:

Patriot One Technologies Inc. aims to directly address the very real and growing Active Threat phenomena which has become a significant force for shaping research in weapons detection. Since the 1970’s many parts of the world have experienced ongoing increases in acts of international terrorism, with increasing numbers of domestic Active Shooter incidents occurring with disturbing frequency. In response, Patriot One and a respected university led research team have developed the basis for portable devices and software solutions to assist military and civilian security personnel in the detection of concealed weapons

Patriothas created effective and licensed firearms security technology with the help of McMaster University. Patriot One distributes its products in 12 countries, but has a strong focus on America where mass shootings continue to be a pressing issue. Even more unfortunate is that these shootings often happen at schools.  Patriot’s system is currently patent pending on four continents, North America, Europe, Australia and Asia.
